Deodorant
White deodorant marks on dark garments are aluminum salts that have left the fabric. Yellow stains under the arms are a chemical reaction between aluminum chloride in antiperspirant and sweat proteins.
Step by step
- 1White marks: rub with another piece of fabric or a little water + baking soda
- 2Yellow stains: soak in warm water
- 3Apply baking soda directly to the stain, drip a little vinegar — the CO₂ reaction dissolves the minerals
- 4Let sit 30 minutes, work with scrub brush
- 5Machine wash 40–60°
